  • No wrapping/ tissue paper
  • No carbon paper
  • No sheets of address labels
  • No photographs
  • No wax/plastic-coated paper
  • No textbooks
  • Don’t worry about removing: sticky notes, staples, paper clips, spiral bindings, rubber bands, tape, plastic tabs, or envelope stamps/labels/windows.

  • Advertising inserts (glossy only are OK)

  • Metal lids/caps (removed)
  • Empty aerosol cans
  • Drink boxes
  • Paper milk cartons

  • No plastic cups/tubs
  • No drinking glasses
  • No plastic bags
  • No plastic lids/caps
  • No Styrofoam
  • No non-#1 or #2
  • No juice bags/pouches plastic containers
  • No vases, dishes, mirrors,
  • No vitamin/Rx bottles
  • No light bulbs

 

Corrugated Cardboard
  • Corrugated cardboard
  • Pizza boxes & ("pleats" between the two outer layers)
  • Brown paper
  • grocery bags

 

Magazines & Phone Books
  • Remove plastic wrapping (magazines & catalogs)
  • Phone Books
  • Paperback Books
  • No hardcover books
  • Paperboard (single layer only, no corrugated cardboard)
  • No other recyclable papers (office pak, newspaper, cardboard). Place in designated recycling bins.

  • 6 & 12-pack cartons

Special Materials
  • Diskettes, Transparencies and Tyvek envelopes (separate materials and mail in small quantities to Recycling at Campus Box 209).
  • Toner Cartridges (printer and some fax). Deposit at any of the 5 campus copy centers.
