Faculty and Staff
Newspaper
and Office Pak can be conveniently recycled in your own
desk side recycling bin!
Use the Where to Recycle Chart to find out where to bring Co-Mingled Containers, Corrugated Cardboard, and Magazines and Catalogs.
Special Materials. Separate diskettes, transparencies, CDs and Tyvek envelopes and mail in small quantities to Recycling at Campus Box 209. Toner cartridges and ink jet cartridges can be deposited in the basement of Regent Hall, in Norlin Library at Imaging Services or brought them to the Intermediate Processing Facility (hyperlink to IPF).
In-Office
Trainings. CU Recycling staff can visit your office or
department to share the latest information on recycling
at CU and
assess how much your office
has helped the environment through your recycling and waste reduction
efforts.
Green
Products Guide. You are not recycling unless you are buying recycled products. CU has
compiled the Recycled Products Guide which contains information on
recycled options for a wide variety of products.
Special
Collections. If you are cleaning out files,
storerooms, etc. and have more recyclables than the current
recycling station can handle, please call 2-5321 to
arrange for special containers and collections.
Confidential Shredding. At your request, CU Recycling crews will collect your sensitive documents and take them to our on-campus facility for shredding and recycling with a guarantee of confidentiality. A certificate of confidential destruction can be provided. Click here for more information.
Pallet
Recycling. Used wooden pallets are collected from the
main campus loading docks once a week. Please place your
pallets out of the way. Do not put pallets
in the trash. Call 2-5321 for a special pickup if you have a large
quantity of pallets.
Battery
Disposal. Environmental Health & Safety accepts
sealed and non-leaking batteries from pagers, cell
phones, laptops, etc. from University operations.
Dispose alkaline batteries as trash. Contact 2-7845 for more info.

Mixed Paper Pilot. Williams Village is the site our first Mixed Paper Pilot on campus. Recycling at Williams Village is easier and more convenient than before! Newspaper, office paper, Magazines, Catalogs, Phonebooks and Paperboard are collected together in Mixed Paper Bins.

In Family Housing, recycling bins are located near each court’s trash dumpsters. Remember, bags, boxes and trash are not acceptable in recycling bins.
